Having the honour of being the very first employee of Alila Hotels & Resorts in 2003, Doris was tasked with starting up the corporate HQ in Singapore and building the Alila brand from scratch. With her knowledge of the luxury market, an eye for emerging trends and a passion for sharing the Alila vision, she made quick work of drawing the spotlight onto this young, exciting company, getting Alila featured in a CNA documentary within just eight months of starting operations. Fast forward to today, and Alila hotels and resorts are globally recognised for their destination-inspired contemporary designs, innovative lifestyle concepts and personalised destination experiences.
As Alila continues to expand into more destinations, Doris remains an integral part of a dynamic team in scripting the next chapter of the Alila story.... one that speaks of the pursuit of green initiatives and community-driven projects as part of its absolute commitment to responsible tourism.
